Draw and paint.
Pay once, keep your files.

Rindraw is a drawing and painting app for iPad, iPhone and Mac. You pay once, your drawings are files you own, and updates never change your tools unless you say so.

Four promises

Read the reviews of any drawing app and the same complaints come up: losing work, updates that change their brushes, and paying every month to open their own files. Rindraw is built around not doing those things.

Pay once

$12.99 once, for iPad, iPhone and Mac. There's no subscription and no account, and what you buy keeps working.

Your files are yours

Each drawing is a file in the Files app, kept on your device, in iCloud Drive or in a folder you choose. Copy them, back them up and keep them anywhere.

Updates don't change your tools

An update never changes how a brush you rely on behaves. If something about your tools changes, you decide.

Nothing is sent to us

There are no analytics, no tracking and no sign-in, and Rindraw works without an internet connection. If you keep your drawings in iCloud Drive, they go to your own iCloud account.

Built not to lose your work

  • Saved as you drawEvery stroke is written down the moment you make it. There's no save button to forget.
  • Undo that survives a restartClose the app, reopen it next week, and your undo history is still there.
  • A damaged file is never overwrittenIf a file can't be read in full, Rindraw sets a copy aside before touching anything.
  • Recently DeletedDeleted drawings stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days.

What it does

Rindraw saves every stroke as you drew it, so you can move, bend and restyle your work and it stays sharp.

Pages and frames

Lay out a series on one canvas, whether comic pages, storyboards, a zine or a portfolio. Step through it in a strip and export a PDF.

Fill

Drag to set the threshold, close small gaps, fill from a reference layer, and drop colors straight onto shapes.

Transform without blur

Move, rotate, scale, distort and warp a stroke or a layer. Strokes are bent, not resampled.

Layers

Groups, masks, blend modes, adjustment layers and live filters. Rindraw opens Procreate and Photoshop files with their layers and exports PSD.

Brushes

Ink, graphite, chalk, dry brush, spatter, wet paint and a mixer brush that blends on the canvas. Import brushes from Procreate and Photoshop, and share your own as files.

Animation

Frames, onion skins and playback with Animation Assist, exported as animated GIF, animated PNG or video.

Timelapse

Every drawing records how it was made. Watch it back, or export a video at any size.

3D painting

Paint on 3D models in OBJ and USDZ, and light them in Lighting Studio.

Export

PNG, JPEG, HEIC, JPEG XL, 16-bit TIFF and PSD, with Display P3 color in HEIC and TIFF and CMYK for print. A larger export draws the strokes again at its size instead of enlarging pixels.

Rindraw on iPhone, with its tools along the edges of the canvas

On iPad, iPhone and Mac

One purchase covers all three. With your library in iCloud Drive, each device has the same drawings, brushes and palettes. On iPhone the tools sit along the edges of the screen, and on Mac you draw with a mouse, a trackpad or a pen tablet, its tilt and eraser end included.

Pages on one canvas

Frames sit side by side on one infinite canvas, so the next page, board or piece is always beside the one you're working on. The page strip takes you between them and keeps their order.
